Vascular anaesthetic consultants
As patients with arterial disorders quite frequently have a number of medical complaints, the anaesthetists have been specifically trained to optimally manage high-risk patients through complicated surgical procedures, if necessary. The team of consultant anaesthetists ensure that all the patients for longer procedures are seen preoperatively. They will then ensure the optimum management before, during and after the operation.
Specialist registrars (anaesthetists in training) will usually be present to assist the consultant.
