Vascular surgery
The vascular surgery service is provided through a specialist dedicated unit, which deals with all open and endovascular (a form of surgery that accesses many parts of the body through major blood vessels) techniques.
The department provides emergency and urgent carotid endarterectomy in conjunction with the hospital's stroke service and has close links with the cardiac team as part of the cardiovascular and thoracic care group.
