Our ongoing studies include:

High frequency EEG oscillations

Their role in epilepsy surgery and localisation of the epileptogenic zone (the source of seizures in the brain). As part of some pre-surgical videotelemetry, a broader range of the brain's electrical oscillations have been recorded to assess the significance of very fast activity.

Seizure semiology in successfully treated temporal lobe epilepsy surgery patients

A retrospective review to improve the understanding of clinical features during seizure. This will improve ability to accurately localise the source of seizures in individual patients and as a consequence the chances of successful surgical treatment.

A study of inter-ictal discharge patterns in patients with childhood benign Rolandic epilepsy

To improve understanding of the underlying pathophysiology in this condition.
