Dr Ma'en Al-Mrayat, consultant endocrinologist
Dr Al-Mrayat is a consultant endocrinologist who joined UHS in 2015. He leads the endocrine service at the Trust and is the chair of the Wessex pituitary and craniopharyngioma multidisciplinary team. Jointly with Mr Neil Pearce he runs a twice monthly clinic dedicated to the care of patients with NETs, with special interest in functioning (hormonally active) and inherited neuroendocrine syndromes. Dr Cowburn is a consultant cardiologist with a special interest in heart failure. He's developed an interest in carcinoid heart disease and runs a monthly specialist clinic where patients are seen and assessed for surgery as appropriate. Dr Richard Ellis, consultant gastroenterologist
Dr Ellis is a gastroenterologist at Portsmouth Hospitals who has been involved in the treatment of patients with NETs for 17 years. He sees patients with NETs originating in any part of the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas, but has particular interest in small bowel NETs and gastric NETs. He does a clinic at Southampton and often sees patients who are troubled by diarrhoea.
