Cancer suite for private patients

If you have private health insurance, you can ask your GP or consultant to refer you to the private facilities for cancer treatment in the Solent Private Suite at Southampton General Hospital. You will be contacted within two working days of your referral being received and you will be given an appointment at a time suitable for you.

We treat all patients at UHS with professional skill, kindness and consideration. The private suite allows us extra time and space to fit your treatment into your individual circumstances, and provides facilities to enhance our warm and friendly environment, including:

• Private inpatient en-suite single rooms with digital TV and WiFi access
• Treatment room with digital TV/DVD, WiFi access, guest sofa and reclining treatment chair
• Private consultant room
• Private waiting area
• Free hot and cold refreshments and current magazine selection
• Dedicated free patient parking

Income generated from the use of these facilities is re-invested back into this area.
