Visiting Piam Brown
We welcome visitors to the Piam Brown Unit, as it is a great support for children/adolescents and parents. It is important that siblings come to visit too, and we encourage their involvement as much as possible, as they can often feel left out.
When visiting Piam Brown, please note the following guidelines:
-
Hand washing is very important to minimise the spread of infection. Please use the hand gel provided when entering and leaving the ward areas.
-
Due to the hight risk of infection, if you have been ill or have been in contact with someone who has been ill, please stay at home. If you are unsure, please
contact one of our nurses.
-
We allow two to three visitors per person at a time.
-
For infection purposes, we do not allow flowers or potted plants on the ward.
-
If you are bringing children with you, we ask that you supervise them at all times.
-
We would appreciate it if all visitors left the ward by 8pm, so that children can be settled to sleep.
-
If your child is very unwell, we would discourage visitors. Please speak to the nurse looking after you and your child.
