What happens when I come in?

Each day, the registrar, senior house officer and senior nurse on the ward will conduct a ward round, where your child's care will be reviwed and planned for the day. The ward round is an opportunity for you and your child to discuss your child's progress and to address any questions you may have.

Weekly timetable

Monday

9am - Planning meeting

Tuesday

9am - Anaesthetic list for children to receive lumbar punctures and bone marrow aspirates
1pm - Educational meeting for staff
2pm - Dr Gary Nicolin's| clinic

Wednesday

Morning - Dr Jan Kohler's| clinic
2pm - Team meeting followed by consultant ward round

Thursday

9am - Haematology meeting
1.30pm - Long term clinic - one a month for each consultant

Friday

9am - Anaesthetic list for children to have lumber punctures and bone marrow aspirates
12 noon - Consultant ward round
