Teenage and young adult team

This team is made up of cancer nurses, social workers and a youth worker who have specialised in working with young people and their families.

They have looked after lots of young people with cancer, and work alongside the other doctors and nurses during and after treatment to offer advice, information and support particularly designed for this age group.

They can see you often, whatever ward you are on, at outpatient appointments and if you want, sometimes at home as well.

They also organise social activities outside the hospital, which can help patients get to know other young people going through similar experiences, and support each other.
