Battery and tubing collection

Collecting batteries or tubing in person

• Find your nearest or most convenient hospital site 
• Check they supply the item needed
• Take your beige record book with you when visiting.

Receiving batteries or tubing by post

• Send your beige hearing aid record book to either the Royal South Hants Hospital or to Lymington New Forest Hospital
• Enclose a large letter stamp to cover the return postage.

Repair appointments

• Appointments are either 15 or 30 minutes depending on whether you have one or two hearing aids
• These appointments are for earmould collection, repair or replacement of faulty or lost hearing aids, impressions for new earmoulds and modifications to earmoulds
• These appointments are not for tweaking or fine tuning hearing aids
• Please bring your beige record book with you to your appointment.

Lost hearing aids

We charge for replacement of hearing aids/earmoulds which are lost or damaged through negligence. The current charge is £80.

When you come into the clinic we will fill in a form detailing how your hearing aid was lost or damaged. This form is considered by a committee who will decide if you are to be charged or not.

You are given the opportunity to appeal against any charge and will be sent a decision notice in writing.
