Our facilities
The department provides audiology and hearing therapy services for patients of all ages. We test hearing and balance and provide treatment or hearing aids where appropriate. If you have an appointment booked with us, find out what happens when you come in|.
Adult hearing
We provide hearing tests and assessment, hearing aid fittings, information and guidance, as well as referral for additional listening devices or Hearing therapy.
Children's hearing
This service identifies children aged 0 to 18 years with temporary and permanent hearing loss. We use a range of assessment techniques and make recommendations for short and long-term treatment. Balance testing
We carry out investigations of adult balance and 'dizziness' problems that have been referred to us by local Consultants. Recommendations and treatment are often via rehabilitation programs and exercises.
Hearing therapy and tinnitus counselling
We provide additional counselling and support for patients in the management of hearing and tinnitus problems.
Hearing aid services
We provide a battery and tubing collection service| and a hearing aid repair service|.
