This team provides a resuscitation service for the up to nine multi-disciplinary resuscitation teams within the Trust, including Southampton General Hospital and Princess Anne Hospital.
They respond to emergency calls if a patient experiences a sudden collapse or deterioration their condition.
Their role is to provide clinical expertise, leadership and education during and after these events.
They will ensure that national up to date standards for resuscitation techniques are being upheld and provide expert clinical support during resuscitation.
The Resuscitation Team are also involved in training medical and nursing staff, allied health professionals (such as physios) and non-professional employees (such as portering staff) within the Trust.
They also train external people in resuscitation techniques.
