Physical, psychological and social problems

Below are the most common problems which may occur after a critical illness. However, they can depend on many factors including: age, health status prior to illness, critical illness, length of ICU stay, and underlying medical condition. The majority of short stay patients do not experience these problems but some of the longer stay patients may have one or more of the list below.
