Our team of specialists are highly trained, and will make sure you are seen in a relaxed, friendly and professional environment.

Fetal medicine consultants

These are the doctors who will perform most scans or procedures. They will answer any questions you have about your baby, the diagnosis and the options for treatment.

Special interest consultant obstetricians

These consultants, who have a special interest in fetal medicine, will also perform scans or carry out some procedures.

Specialist sonographer

Supported by the four consultants, this specialist member of staff carries out scans including follow-up scans.

• Jane Anderson

Consultant nurse and specialist midwives

These are the people you'll probably have most contact with. They are there to support parents and liaise with other medical professionals. They will help you understand the implications of any diagnosis or treatment options. They will talk to you about the results of any test or procedures.

Administrative staff

These are the people who book your appointment and send out letters. If you call the department, you are likely to speak to the administrative staff first, who will arrange for an appropriate member of staff to speak to you.
