Physiotherapy is all about helping patients maintain, improve and maximise their movement and ability. This could include functional tasks such as walking, getting in out bed, and climbing stairs.

It's an important service that helps people regain their full physical capabilities – or make the best use of impaired function.

Inpatients physiotherapists work on the wards - including medicine, surgery, cancer care, paediatrics, orthopaedics and neurology.

Outpatient physiotherapists work in the outpatient department that includes a large, well-equipped gymnasium and hydrotherapy pools.

To become a qualified physiotherapist you have to complete a degree course in physiotherapy at university.
