The children's rheumatology service will be running the following education days:
Preparing for transition - 23 April 2012
This session is useful for children aged 11 and over. Topics covered include:

The use of biologic drugs in juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) - 5 May 2012
This session will discuss:

parent input regarding biologics
What is juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) - 22 September 2012
This session will include:

what JIA is

what each sub-group heading means

treatment for JIA

what the future holds

parent input
What is methotrexate - 27 October 2012
This session will discuss:

your views and what you think it is
-
what it actually is
-
side effects
-
ways to administer the drug

bloods

what if it doesn't work

child's input and their views

The paediatric rheumatology service is hosting a summer BBQ for all children and family members to attend for a few hours of fun!
