Our facilities
Southampton's hand and wrist specialists have access to the latest equipment and technology, including high-tech implants and joint replacements.
We can use specialist radiography (X-ray) machines and neurophysiology equipment (which records the electrical activity of the nervous system in scans such as an NCS (nerve conduction studies). We also have a peripheral MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scanner, which uses electromagnetic waves to produce computer images of internal structures.
Southampton University Hospital Trust has a number of dedicated orthopaedic wards so you will be looked after by doctors and nurses who specialise in this field.
