Primary ciliary dyskinesia
Southampton University Hospitals Trust is one of three centres in England that acts as a referral centre for patients with suspected primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD), a rare inherited condition.
We were chosen in 2006 by the Department of Health to provide a national diagnostic service for much of southern England.
Southampton has a dedicated PCD team comprising a lead consultant, physiotherapist, nurse specialist, technician, administrator and laboratory staff.
We offer a comprehensive diagnostic service for both adults and children.
