Sleep studies

If you have been referred for a sleep study you will be required to stay overnight in one of our sleep labs. You will need to bring a bag for an overnight stay including any medication you may need.

You are more than welcome to bring with you a book, an MP3 player or your own pillow, to make your stay more comfortable. We do however need you to sleep for most of the night in order to diagnose you effectively.

You will need to report to the Respiratory Centre at 9pm where you will be greeted by one of our health care assisatnts who will show you to your room. You are free to leave in the morning and we ask that the room is vacated by 9am as they are often used during the day.  If you need to stay for any further tests in the morning, the health care assistant looking after you will let you know.
