Our tuberculosis (TB) and BCG vaccination service is run from the Royal South Hants Hospital, in the Fanshawe Wing.
Our outpatient service (for patients who don't need to stay in hospital) is also at the Royal South Hants, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. This service is led by nurses, and doctors visit on a Wednesday morning.
If you have TB and need to stay in hospital, our specialist medical, nursing and pharmacy team will look after you in the isolation facilities at Southampton General Hospital.
You might be referred to us from local primary care services, hospital or occupational health services.
We're contributing to the national TB screening programme, which aims to identify higher risk people who have latent TB (not causing any symptoms) and start them on treatment to stop it becoming active. We've screened over 600 people in the first year of this initiative.
