We provide a full general dermatology service for all local patients with skin disease, and are a regional centre for patients with more complex needs.

Our services include

general dermatology clinics
skin cancer clinics
skin cancer surgery (we are not able to provide treatment for cosmetic reasons, such as removal of benign moles)
modern phototherapy (light therapy) services
specialist clinics for patch testing/contact dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa and cutaneous lymphoma
nurse-led clinics including acne clinics and Botox therapy for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

Find us

The dermatology department is located at the Royal South Hants Hospital (RSH), on Level E in the Fanshawe Wing. The department can be accessed by stairs or lift.

The paediatric dermatology clinic is located in the main paediatric outpatient department at Southampton General Hospital.

Inpatient services are provided at Southampton General Hospital.

We are responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and you may be seen by doctors in training.
