Public transport to and from Southampton General Hospital
There are good transport links to and from the hospital. You can catch a bus from outside the main entrance on Tremona Road. Routes and times are available from the information point at the main entrance, where there is also a real time data board detailing actual bus arrival and departure times. There is also a taxi rank outside the main entrance, and a free taxi phone in the corridor just inside the main entrance. The nearest mainline train station is Southampton Central.

Local bus routes
Several local bus routes serve the hospital sites.
This service runs from Lordshill to city centre, via Southampton General Hospital. Patients and visitors can receive 50% off of their fare with a promotional car parking ticket.

Up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday (daytime) between Lordshill and Botley Road, via Southampton General Hospital, Millbrook, Shirley, the city centre and Woolston. Up to every hour on Sundays (daytime).

City Red Three (First Bus)
Up to every seven minutes between Thornhill, Woolston, Southampton, Shirley and Lordshill, Monday to Friday (daytimes) and up to every ten minutes, Saturday (daytimes)
