Phase I and II trials
The NIHR Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility| integrates extensive specialist and flexible research facilities with our full acute hospital trust services. Experienced research nursing teams and on-call research fellows ensure the highest standards of safety and care, and that there is the capacity to deliver multiple early-stage trials to time, including complex protocols.
Quality assured sample storage, processing and laboratory facilities further reinforce the reliability and quality of data, and allocated office space for trial monitors facilitates oversight and governance for studies.
Later phase trials
We have research-active clinicians and research nurse teams across our hospital services, backed by a dedicated R&D department providing governance support, administration and facilitating adoption of trials to the NIHR portfolio.
