This is award is sponsored by Jane and Martin Bovey.

Winner - Annette Mason, ward sister, infectious diseases unit

Annette implemented initiatives and led her ward with exceptional results. She has trained and upskilled ward nurses to carry out activities previously performed by cystic fibrosis specialist nurses. Exceptionally low levels of agency usage by flexible and innovative approaches to ensure safe staffing. All staff are encouraged to be involved in monitoring quality and to consider cost and financial implications when delivering care.
