UHS has various healthcare science departments and employs nearly 600 people in these roles. Healthcare scientists are an essential part of the NHS team, but because many work behind the scenes, they often go unnoticed.
The work healthcare scientists do is diverse and can range from analysing tissue samples, to prosthetics, and engineering. More than ever before, the NHS relies on healthcare scientists for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Julie Martin is the lead for healthcare scientists for UHS and can be emailed on firstname.lastname@example.org
