Banding of antibiotic doses for neonates
One of our paediatric pharmacists won the poster prize at the neonatal and paediatric pharmacists group conference of November 2008.
The prize was an expenses-paid trip to an international paediatric pharmacy conference in Florida to present poster. The work showed that by banding doses of cefotaxine, ready-made doses could efficiently be provided by the pharmacy department. This facilitated administration on postnatal wards.
