UKPCA pain award
We have won the prestigeous NAPP pain award two years in a row. The 2009 award will be made in the autumn for the development of countrywide persistent pain guidelines.
In 2008 we won the prestigious NAPP UKCPA pain award. In a qualitative study the author was able to show the benefit of a pharmacist as part of the pain team by questioning both professional colleagues and patients. As a result, our specialist pain pharmacist currently accepts referrals from around the hospital as well as running a specialist clinic.
