Where can I have my blood test?

Adult blood tests are available at:

• Southampton General Hospital
• Royal South Hants Hospital
• Lymington Hospital

Appointment-only service

All adult blood test appointments are available by appointment only. This helps us to:

• Reduce waiting times
• Keep the clinic running well
• Give better choice and flexibility of appointment times
• Give patient a better experience.

We are asking patients to book online wherever possible. Online booking is open 24 hours a day and lets you look at and choose from available appointments across our hospital sites. Please visit our booking site:

Please note: The booking team has the same appointment slots that you can see online. Calling us will not give you any other options for booking an appointment.

Urgent blood test requests

If your clinician has advised that your blood test is clinically urgent and there are no suitable appointments available online, please call the Southampton General Hospital switchboard on 02380 777 222 and ask to be transferred to the adult blood test booking team, who will be able to help you.

Royal South Hants Hospital

• Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm
• Saturday, 8am to 5.30pm
• Sunday 8am to 12noon
• By appointment only

Lymington Hospital

• Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5pm
• By appointment only

Please do not attend any blood test clinic without a pre-booked appointment.
