Trust appointed trainees (Wessex HEE)
Wessex HEE trainees (FY2 and above) should apply for study leave via the Intrepid system and have it approved before claiming expenses back via Healthroster. Trust appointed fellows
Trust appointed fellows must use the study leave application form and make sure to obtain ALL authorisation signatures before sending it to the medical education office. Please be aware that Trust fellow study leave funding should be negotiated with your department.
Rotational fellowship doctors
Doctors that are in the fellowship programme are entitled to £600 per annum (pro rata) and must use the study leave application form and make sure to obtain ALL authorisation signatures before sending it to the medical education office.

Important notes regarding claiming
- Wessex deanery trainees – approval via Intrepid and claim via Healthroster.
- Trust appointed fellows – approval via the study leave application form and claim via Healthroster.
- All applications have to be prospective and fully completed with ALL authorisation signatures or the claim WILL be rejected.
- Payroll cut off is the second Tuesday of every month - please ensure your claims are in before this to allow for processing.
