The Murray Parish Trust has launched #2MillionSteps, a national appeal to raise £2 million in partnership with Southampton Hospital Charity. This money will be match funded by the government to build a state of the art children’s emergency department in Southampton.
To date, we've committed £800,000 to the project. Through the #2MillionSteps campaign the remaining £2 million will be raised over the next two years ensuring the development of this much-needed department commences as planned.
The new department will deliver life-saving and acute specialist care for critically ill children from across nine different counties, stretching from Devon to West Sussex, Oxfordshire to The Channel Islands.
#2MillionSteps intends to raise the necessary funds and awareness for the new unit by asking “What steps will you take to make a difference?”
With a variety of fundraising options available, including one off donations, regular giving, and event participation, there are numerous ways to show and share your support. Find out more on the charity website: www.southamptonhospitalcharity.org
