6-8pm in the lecture theatre, Heartbeat Education Centre (F level, north wing, Southampton General Hospital)
Southampton Children’s Hospital is a major centre for specialist paediatric services in the south of England, providing acute specialist care not only for Southampton but for a much larger area, including the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands.
Come and join us at our members' evening and learn about the wide range of diagnosis, treatment and support facilities the hospital provides for children and their parents. You'll also have the opportunity to find out about the appeal to raise funds for a purpose-built children’s emergency and trauma department.
Speakers will include:
Peter Wilson, a consultant in paediatric intensive care and director of Southampton Children’s Hospital
The sleep disorder service, who recently warned there is a 'desperate need' to get children’s sleep on the public health agenda in the UK
The youth and play services team, who help prepare children and young people for procedures and hospital stays.
This event is open to all members (staff and public) and their guests, so to reserve your place, please email the membership team.
