Wessex Academic Health Science Network and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust would like to warmly invite staff from all local health organisations to the Wessex Health Innovation Forum on Tuesday, 16 May 2017 from 5.30pm to 9pm. This will take place in the conference room, Heartbeat Suite, F level, north wing, Southampton General Hospital, Southampton, SO16 6YD.
This forum is designed to support the development of innovative technologies and models of care by bringing together staff from health, academia and industry with an interest in using innovation to transform services. This is the first of the Innovation Forums going ‘on the road’. A second is planned for Dorset in early summer and a third in Portsmouth in the autumn.
The meeting in Southampton will showcase innovations from within the local health system and further afield that have the potential to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care. By providing a forum where innovators and clinicians can openly discuss the problems and solutions we aim to improve the quality of the solutions, and shorten the development time so that patients can benefit sooner.
The programme will support the Trust’s ambition to promote innovation and innovative ways of working by exploring how local needs may be met. Fiona Dalton, CEO of University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, will open the evening with an address on the state of the nation and need for innovation.
We welcome staff from all local health organisations, including acute trusts, community providers, CCGs and primary care. For more information and to book your place, please visit the event page.
