On Tuesday, 5 June, we're holding an exclusive screening of The King's Speech and will be joined by its Oscar winning producer, Gareth Ellis-Unwin. The critically acclaimed, award-winning film tells the story of King George VI and Lionel Logue, the speech therapist who cured the king of his stammer and gave him the confidence to appear in public.
Join us for this unique opportunity to see the film, followed by a Q&A with Gareth. At only £10 each and a limited number of seats, you'd better buy your tickets today!
Doors open at 7pm ready for the screening at 7.30pm. Light refreshments will be provided after the Q&A.
All profits from the event will support work within the emergency department to reduce the health harms of alcohol. The ED team will be purchasing a training kit, including models of healthy and diseased livers created by a special effects technician from the Harry Potter films! The liver models will be on display throughout the film night.
This event would not be possible without the kind support of Gareth Ellis-Unwin who is freely giving his time and Momentum Pictures who have not charged for the screening of the film.
