Nutrition and dietetics
The aim of this department is to promote a healthy, nutritious diet for everyone.
Registered dietitians work with the public and a wide variety of partners and patients to provide support, education and advice about eating well and menu planning.
Dietitians work with a range of patients – including those with diabetes, kidney and liver disease, raised blood fat levels and gastro-intestinal disorders – to help them make practical choices about food and lifestyle.
Dietitians are involved in promoting health and preventing disease by educating people about eating healthily. They also conduct research into nutritional issues.
