ACCORD (Accelerating COVID-19 Research & Development) is a single Phase II clinical trial platform recently launched in the UK to fast-track research into potential COVID-19 treatments.
ACCORD aims to accelerate the development of new drugs for patients hospitalised with COVID-19 and is reducing the time taken to set up clinical trials for new therapies from months to weeks.
Clinical trials run as part of the ACCORD platform will test several different drugs for how well they slow or stop the progression of COVID-19 in hospitalised patients across several NHS hospitals nationwide.
Who can take part in ACCORD trials?
ACCORD trials are open to hospitalised patients with COVID-19.If you are a healthcare professional currently treating such patients, please see Giving patients access or contact us for more information.
