Professional education
The Southern Parkinson's disease forum holds annual meetings, rotating around hospitals in the Wessex region for specialist clinicians.
Continuous student training for medical, nursing and therapy students.
Regular teaching sessions for junior doctors.
Parkinson's disease master class provides senior doctor training and mentorship nationally and many of our doctors have received this training and/or are part of The Academy.
Audit
We have an ongoing annual participation in the national Parkinson's audit sponsored by Parkinson's disease UK and the British Geriatric Society. For more information see Parkinson's UK.
We also take part in regular local audits.
