Meet the team: Macmillan acute oncology service
The service is staffed by emergency and trainee advanced nurse practitioners with a range of backgrounds from acute and cancer. The team is supported by dedicated acute oncology registrars and overseen by consultants.

Dr Paul Fenton
Dr Fenton is clinical oncologist with subspecialty interests in acute oncology and thoracic malignancies. He joined the Trust in 2012.

Emergency nurse practitioners
Hannah Bingley, team leader
Hannah trained at the University of Southampton where she completed a postgraduate diploma in adult nursing. Since qualifying, she has worked in acute medicine and medical high dependency. This experience has cemented a sound knowledge of acute care and has provided a stepping stone into acute oncology.
Annebeth Flynn
Annebeth qualified from Bournemouth University in 2003 with a BSc in adult nursing. She initially worked on a respiratory ward for three years, which enabled her to gain valuable experience in acute medicine. Annebeth then worked in Australia as an oncology nurse. On her return to the UK, she joined the Trust as a staff nurse on C4. In May 2012 she joined the Macmillan acute oncology team.
Rochelle Lim
Rochelle's experience includes acute and emergency medicine, psychiatry in the Philippines, cardiovascular medicine in Singapore and 12 years of acute medicine at Southampton General Hospital.
She was a ward sister for seven years and seconded as a senior sister before joining the Macmillan acute oncology team. Rochelle is passionate about quality patient care and excellent patient experience.
Kathryn Johnson
Kathryn graduated from the University of Southampton with a postgraduate diploma in nursing, and gained her Masters in nursing in 2011. She has worked in intensive care and high dependency, and as a senior nurse in acute medicine, which led Kathryn to join the acute oncology team.
