COVID-19 information 

If you have a new continuous cough, a high temperature, or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, do not come to our hospitals. Stay at home and follow the national advice.

Visitors and outpatients are reminded that restrictions remain in place around UHS sites. See here for more information.

Please do not attend our emergency department at Southampton General Hospital if you have a minor injury. If you need urgent, non-emergency care, please visit Royal South Hants Urgent Treatment Centre or Lymington Urgent Treatment Centre.

Specific directions around the sites are supplied with your appointment letter or you can ask at reception on arrival.

Car parking space at the Southampton General, Princess Anne, Southampton Children's and Royal South Hants hospitals is limited at peak times. We recommend that you consider coming by public transport or taxi if you can.

To see information on road incidents and closures, traffic restrictions and roadworks which may affect your journey you can visit southampton.roadworks.org.

You may be able to get financial help from the healthcare travel costs scheme if you are on a low income and meet certain eligibility criteria. 

Parking for blue badge holders 

Blue badge holders are exempt from parking charges at pay and display locations and pay on exit visitor car parks at Southampton General Hospital and Princess Anne Hospital.

To assist in exiting the car park for these site users, please contact the operators via any of the help buttons on the pay or exit machines giving the reference number of the permit or visit/contact the Travelwise office prior to exiting.

Blue badges must be displayed when parking on site.
