Advanced nurse practitioners are nurses who have undertaken master’s level education and training to independently assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting with common breast problems. They work alongside the breast surgeons mainly within the symptomatic one stop breast clinics and family history clinics, but may also be in the other breast clinics.
