Research nurses (breast unit)

We are a research active team, and you may be offered to participate in and contribute to one of the many research studies or trials we are involved in.

The role of the breast research team is to work closely with members of the breast unit, including consultants, breast care nurses, medical and clinical oncologists to determine potential patient eligibility/suitability for participation in breast research trials.

We are responsible for the day to day running of a portfolio of clinical trials, recruiting and monitoring trial patients for the duration of trial follow-up.

The team consists of a research sister, nurse and two clinical trials assistants.

The research team are available from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. You can call us on 023 8120 4618, we also have an answer machine.
