Fatigue

Managing hair loss and regrowth
- We have an adult wig fitting service at Southampton cancer centre, find out more in our patient information below.
- For information on managing hair loss during and after cancer treatment as well as alopecia, visit Alopecia UK or My New Hair, a charity helping you to find local hairdressers who can trim wigs and manage hair regrowth after treatment (just put in your postcode).
Look Good Feel Good
- A free skin care and make up service is run from the Macmillan centre, helping women and men of all ages during and after their cancer treatment. Find out more.
- Maggie’s Southampton hosts Look Good Feel Better sessions. You can book a timeslot by contacting Abbie on 023 8212 4549 or email Southampton@maggies.org.

Smoking and alcohol
To you need to stop or reduce your smoking or alcohol consumption, support is available:

- Speak to the tobacco dependency team here at UHS

Travel
- Macmillan offers helpful advice on travelling during and after cancer treatment, including travel insurance. We recommend that you discuss travel plans with your team before paying for trips.
