Burley and Lyndhurst are specialist wards for women and their babies who need consultant-led care.

Lyndhurst ward provides antenatal care, and postnatal care is provided on Burley ward.

Visiting hours

Visiting times for all visitors are from 9am to 9pm.

A maximum of three visitors per bed at any one time.

Any child other than siblings must be three years or older to visit the ward area.

We are sorry but we do not permit flowers and latex balloons on the ward for the safety of our mothers/birthing people and babies. Foil balloons are fine.

Registering your baby's birth (COVID-19 update)

In line with the General Register Office directive, unfortunately all birth registrations are suspended until further notice. You can stay up to date with current information by visiting the Southampton City Council website.
