Imaging physics - scientific computing

We are a friendly and growing team of healthcare computer scientists and clinical scientists. As part of the Imaging Physics Group at the University Hospital Southampton medical physics department, we provide end-to-end specialist clinical software design, development, and support, as well as supporting scientific research and imaging research data management.

To ensure the Medical Device software we create and maintain is both safe and of the highest quality we have created and run a Quality Management System that has been externally certified to ISO 13485 by the British Standards Institute (BSI). This has supported and enabled us to create the highly successful SORT PICU app, which is a UKCA-marked medical device now available on the UK Apple App store.

Examples of our work include in house reporting software for kidney function (image 1), dementia diagnosis (image 2), intercranial pressure monitoring (image 3), as well as a drug dose calculator app in collaboration with the Southampton Oxford retrieval team (SORT app) to be placed on the market in Great Britain (image 4).
