A snapshot of research at UHS
In recognition of Clinical Trials Day which takes place this month, we are dedicating our May members’ evening to finding out more about some of the amazing research taking place at University Hospital Southampton.
The evening will include three speakers sharing their stories and the work they are doing to improve outcomes for patients. Speakers include:
- Nick Curzen, professor of interventional cardiology and consultant cardiologist
- Alex Aarvold, consultant paediatric orthopaedic surgeon
- Susan Restorick-Banks, a member of the public who has been involved in patient and public involvement (PPI) in research
The event will take place on Monday, 20 May from 6pm to 8pm in the Heartbeat Education Centre lecture theatre, F level, North Wing, Southampton General Hospital.
These events are free to attend and you are welcome to bring guests. If you are parking on site, we can also provide you with a pass to exit for free. If any of your guests aren’t members, they are still welcome to attend and there will be sign-up forms available on the evening if they would like to join.
This event is open to all UHS staff and their friends and families.
If you wish to book a place at this event, please email the membership team via firstname.lastname@example.org or call 023 8120 5270.
