Dr Oguejiofor’s academic career is anchored in translational radiobiology and tumour immunology, with a focus on HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancers. His PhD work at the University of Manchester explored immune microenvironmental differences in HPV-positive and negative head and neck cancers, contributing significantly to the understanding of immune–tumour interactions.

He has co-authored over 15 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals such as Clinical Oncology, British Journal of Cancer, and Oncotarget, covering topics including:

  • HPV-related tumour biology and diagnostics
  • Tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes and immunophenotyping
  • PD-1/PD-L1 pathway and tumour hypoxia in cancer prognosis
