Experience

Mr Noble has worked at the trust as consultant general surgeon specialising in upper gastrointestinal surgery and is the clinical service lead for upper gastrointestinal surgery.

Mr Noble sees patients in clinic or at his weekly endoscopy session with cancer of the stomach, oesophagus and non-cancerous conditions such as reflux, hiatal hernias and achalasia.

He has adopted and assessed new and innovative techniques which may be suitable for you and your condition. Minimally invasive surgery for gastrectomy and oesophagectomy. Linx procedure for reflux. Minimally invasive surgery for hiatal and groin (inguinal) surgery. Mr Noble and the team have now adopted Robotic surgery for all upper gastrointestinal operations and he has introduced Refluxstop to the south coast.

The Upper gastrointestinal team and his outcomes are assessed internally and externally and can be reviewed via the national oesophagogastric audit and national hiatal registry.

The team and Mr Noble are happy to discuss treatment options and outcomes at the time of your consultation at his weekly clinic on Wednesday morning or biweekly clinic in Lymington.

He is the regional chair of esophagogastric clinical advisory group (2019-present).

Research

He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) for his research in oesophageal cancer evaluating methods to improve outcomes following surgery and the value of immunotherapy in oesophageal cancer. His other research can be reviewed following this link here.
