Experience

Mr Stringa is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon specialised in treatments for glaucoma and cataract surgery. He performs glaucoma filtering surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and laser procedures for the treatment of glaucoma.

Awards and prizes

  • Best Abstract Presentation Award at The UK and Eire Glaucoma Society meeting 2020 (Glasgow)
  • NHS Leadership Academy Award in Healthcare Leadership Foundations (2019)
  • Greater Manchester Clinical Research Award: Runner up Research Team (2016)

Research

Mr Stringa is active in clinical research. He carried out research projects in the imaging of the retina, with particular interest in diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. He also published articles on glaucoma surgery, particularly on minimally invasive glaucoma devices. He regularly attends international meetings as a presenter of abstracts and publications
