Ms Zaidi is a consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. She graduated from Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her general surgery training at the Aga Khan University Hospital, earning a fellowship degree (FCPS) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, as well as the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in Glasgow, UK. She then further trained in breast surgery and completed her fellowship at Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan’s largest cancer treatment facility.

Ms Zaidi moved to the UK in 2014 and completed an oncoplastic breast surgery fellowship at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in medical education from the University of Winchester.

Experience

Ms Zaidi commenced her consultant practice in the UK in 2019 and joined UHS in 2022.  With an extensive operative experience, Ms Zaidi regularly performs simple breast procedures, including lumpectomies, sentinel node biopsies, mastectomies, and axillary clearances. She has expertise in complex oncoplastic breast conservation operations. These advanced procedures focus on removing cancer while simultaneously reshaping the breast for optimal aesthetic outcomes, including therapeutic mammoplasties with or without breast reduction, and intercostal perforator flap partial reconstructions. Furthermore, she specialises in complete breast reconstruction using varied implant techniques, as well as delayed corrective procedures like mastopexy and lipofilling, in cases where cosmetic symmetrisation may be required once breast cancer treatment is completed.

Ms Zaidi is highly regarded for her patient-centric approach, prioritising individual well-being and clear communication, evidenced by multiple doctors' award nominations and excellent patient feedback.
