Children's kidney service

The nephrology service covers the full spectrum of renal (kidney) conditions in children, with the exception of renal transplantation.

We provide care for children with acute and chronic renal failure, including haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Before and after transplant care is provided, but transplants are generally carried out at the Evelina Children's Hospital, attached to the St Thomas' Hospital site in London.

We also see children with nephrotic syndrome, nephritis, renal tubular disorders, renal calculi, hypertension, complicated urinary tract infections and wetting problems.
