Children's MRI scans
We have designed these videos to help children understand what an MRI scan involves. They tell the story of Antonio, a four-year-old boy attending an MRI scan at University Hospital Southampton (UHS). We have used child-friendly language and included subtitles in Arabic, Polish, Romanian and Spanish, as well as a version with British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation. We hope these videos help children feel more prepared and reassured about their MRI experience.
These videos were produced with funding from Southampton Hospitals Charity through its Patient Benefit Grants Programme , which supports projects that improve patients' experiences and wellbeing.
