Transforming lives and healthcare through research – spotlight on advanced therapies
7pm to 8pm, Tuesday 16 July 2024
Microsoft Teams Live
Find out how advanced therapies are transforming how we treat and cure certain diseases.
Southampton researchers are at the forefront of progress in areas including cancer, ophthalmology and haemophilia.
This event will be an opportunity to hear exciting updates from our research and the life-changing impact it’s having on our patients.
Speakers will include John Curley, a UHS patient who was one of the first in the UK to receive a transformational gene therapy for haemophilia-B. He’ll share his reaction to it being made available on the NHS this summer.
